HELP PROTECT WOMEN AND CHILDREN BY WINNING THE WAR OF WORLDVIEWS

- WHAT YOU CAN DO:

The South African Law Reform Commission will soon be hosting workshops countrywide (28 May - 30 June) discussing prostitution law reform. Please pray for Christian ministries attending these workshops that their voice will be heard and that God will grant them wisdom in influencing the law makers. The workshops are open to members of the public. Please contact info@christianaction.org.za for more information.

Please write a Letter to the Editor of the Cape Argus (arglet@inl.co.za) thanking him for publishing the above article and requesting that the work of ministries involved in helping women to exit prostitution (such as Straat Werkers, Doctors for Life) also be reported.

Carte Blanche however, aired a program last night (Sunday, 24 May) which was extremely biased in favour of brothel owners and SWEAT. Again, no ministries that are involved in helping women to exit prostitution were interviewed. You can read the transcript of this program here. Please complain to Carte Blanche about their biased reporting by clicking on "Submit a Story" and sending an online email.

The Family Policy Institute has compiled a fact-based summary of key points detailing the dangers of decriminalizing prostitution in South Africa. Please request this document at info@familypolicyinstitute.org.

Make copies of this summary and distribute it to your home group/Bible Study, congregation and colleagues.

Use this fact-based summary for Letters to the Editor and radio phone-ins!
