Our Founding Statement
The Christian Party seeks to glorify God through our political participation in South Africa in a manner which will educate, inform and promote the Biblical Worldview and applying the Lordship of Jesus Christ to all areas and aspects of our daily life.
Our Vision
A South Africa which are governed by a Christian Government which governs in accordance with the Word of God.
Our Values & Principles
1. We acknowledge that all authority is "established by God" (Romans 13:1);
2. We acknowledge that God is the ultimate and only independent authority (Proverbs 8:15);
3. We affirm that Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords; that He has all authority in Heaven and earth; and that all governments everywhere function by His permission and are obligated to follow His Laws;
4. We declare that all government that exalts the individual or the state above Jesus Christ is inconsistent with God’s Biblical standards for government;
5. We affirm that God holds governments everywhere responsible to protect the God-ordained rights to life, liberty and private property, and to keep the peace by their legitimate power;
6. We affirm that civil government has the God-ordained power of the sword to punish evildoers and to promote the good, and that power includes capital punishment;
7. We affirm that civil government has the responsibility of administering justice and that the fulfillment of this responsibility allows for the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the application of the Word of God to every area of life;
8. We affirm that civil governments exist for the benefit of their citizens and that they have the duty to protect the freedoms granted to people by God;
9. We affirm that the Triune God is the ultimate Governor for all institutions, in all societies and that all forms of government that exalt the individual or the state as the ultimate authority are contrary to Biblical revelation;
10. We affirm that civil government ought to follow a Biblical moral order so that citizens can work out their callings under God, and that they should treat all citizens as juridical equal.

OUR VISION

As Women and citizens of this great country, to continue our legacy of being the rock upon whuch others stand, to successfully and Biblically, transform our nation into a Christian thinking, Acting and Voting nation.

Merging all communities, regardless of colour, financial status, denomination or creed, into a single minded, economically vibrant, spiritually mature and empowered unit, from which a light can shine forth to the nations.

To create a nation that has unity in faith, in vision and action, with a faith that is real and practical, a vision that is Spirit led and Action that is Biblically grounded and purposed to God's will, which we acknowledge to include Biblical goevrnance.


SOME OF OUR KEY GOALS

• Tougher penalties for violent crimes against women
• Recognition of the contribution stay-at-home mothers make to society and to provide neccesary tax rebates
• Equal pension and other benefits to women
• Adequete child care and youth centres to assist working mothers
• Increased education and training to women in rural areas
• Subsidies to families who undertake home schooling
• Establishment of funding and training centres that focus purely on women entrepeneurs
• Removal of pornograpghy and its degradation of women, from society

Vision

The vision of the UCDP is to be the leading party in uniting all South Africans, Christians, and non-Christians alike, in truly democratic, non-racial and non-sexist partnership inspired by the desire to work together in diverse society in building a prosperous and free nation.

The UCDP commits itself to:

Undo the hardship Of all South African by creating a conducive environment that also induces personal and individual initiative for meaningful development, to take lead in eradicating poverty, and addressing unemployment, homelessness, disease, crime and other political socio-economic ills of our country.
Offer the people of South Africa a solid foundation based on Christian principles with a clear and unequivocal mission to raise and maintain the quality of life of all citizen and effect good governance.
Unlock develop and employ both human and material resources in areas of great needs in partnership with civil society, in the most equitable non-discriminatory and just in improving the quality of life of all citizens of our country.
And to foster and protect all Christian family values.

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to the Christian Party Website.

We hope that you will experience the joy that we experienced when we realized our dream of having our own website through which we can communicate with you and share the vision, which we have received for South Africa and its people.

We are a political party with a difference ... We are, first of all, a ministry and thereafter a political party. We exist to glorify God, to be a blessing to the body of Christ and to make Him known within this nation. We are not a secular party that only focusses on obtaining power to rule the country. We have a prophetic duty to be salt and light in the world and also to be sowers and witnesses.

We also have a duty to fulfill the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We trust that you will find that God still has a purpose for each and everyone of us in South Africa and that you will get involved in spreading the Good News by being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
